Tingzhong (Michelle) Xue

Tingzhong (Michelle) Xue, PhD, is an assistant professor at the Elaine Marieb College of Nursing.

Through a lens of resilience, her research focuses on promoting care and health outcomes among older adults living with Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias (ADRD) following hospitalization for acute illnesses, such as hip fractures or worsening chronic conditions. She has experience in quantitative and qualitative research, as well as intervention studies.

Currently, her work leverages large data sets, such as those from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, nationally representative survey data, and electronic health records, to understand how multilevel factors affect care quality and health outcomes in older adults with dementia.
