About
Meg Burch '98MS is the program manager of the Local Public Health Nurse Consultant Program, a joint initiative between UMass Amherst and the Mass. Department of Public Health.
Prior to joining the program, Meg worked primarily in school nursing providing direct care and served most recently as a regional consultant for school nurses in western Massachusetts.
She is a strong advocate for ongoing professional development and leadership opportunities for school and public health nurses. Her background includes work as an occupational epidemiologist focused on exposures to perchloroethylene, silica tobacco and asbestos.
Meg has also served on the western Massachusetts advisory board for the BIRCh (Behavioral Health Integrated Resources for Children) Project and the Behavioral Health Helpline (BHHL) and has been a SME for BU SHIELDs Leadership Series.
