About
Maud Low is a Clinical Assistant Nursing Professor at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. In her many years teaching at UMass Amherst, she has taught undergraduates a range of courses in both the traditional and accelerated programs. Professor Low earned a PhD in Nursing at UMass Amherst in 2021. She has published articles on nursing and nursing education starting in the 1990s through today. Professor Low has developed a second specialty, mental health nursing, in which she has been clinically active at Franklin Medical Center in Greenfield MA. Dr. Low has served as a state officer in AWHONN, reviewed for the JOGNN, and presented at local and national conferences. Her committee involvement at UMass has included Undergraduate Curriculum, Faculty and Student Matters, and university-wide committees on The Status of Women and Health Services. Maud is a Certified Legal Nurse Consultant and has served as an expert witness throughout the east coast. Her PhD work is focused on nurse-to-nurse relationships.
