Laura Dzurec

Laura Dzurec, PhD, PMHCNS-BC, ANEF, FAAN, brings extensive experience as a program administrator, educator, psychiatric/mental health advanced practice nurse, and researcher to her work in nursing. Dr. Dzurec has collaborated across disciplines to foster advances in understanding of the ways people engage in their environments to work together. She brings a deep commitment to accessible, high-quality investigation and values the insight, experience, and wisdom generated as researchers work together across disciplines to foster new knowledge and insights.

For the past 15 years, Dr. Dzurec has engaged in the study of workplace bullying and the contexts within which it transpires. Some of her related work includes a 2025 study conjointly with Dr. Jennifer Hehl. The project, funded by the Eta Beta chapter of Sigma, is called "Do You See What I See? Testing HR Acceptance of a New Language Model to Direct Follow-Up Action on Nurse Leaders' Bullying Reports." Analysis of findings is ongoing. This study built on a previous project through which Drs. Dzurec and Hehl developed the model under study in this research.
