About
Chassea Robinson is currently serving as a local public health nurse consultant for the Public Health Nurse Consultant Program, a joint initiative between the UMass Amherst Elaine Marieb College of Nursing and the Massachusetts Department of Public Health. Learn more.
Chassea has been a public health nurse for over twenty years. She studied political science and earned a bachelor of arts at Bucknell University. Interested in the politics of healthcare, she went on to receive a bachelor of science in nursing from the University of New Hampshire. She worked at Lakes Region General Hospital in Laconia, New Hampshire before going on to Emory University where she earned a master of science in nursing and a master of public health with a concentration in international health.
Chassea started her public health nursing career at the Boston Public Health Commission in the Communicable Disease Control Division. She has since worked for the Peabody, Gloucester, and Rockport public health departments. In 2018, she and fellow public health nurses started the North Shore Mother Visiting Partnership, a collaborative group of nurses offering home visits to new mothers.
Chassea loves to hike and spend time outdoors. She is currently hiking the 48 four-thousand -foot peaks of New Hampshire. She lives with her husband and two daughters in Gloucester.
