About
Alyssa Kaiser is currently serving as a local public health nurse consultant for the Public Health Nurse Consultant Program, a joint initiative between the UMass Amherst Elaine Marieb College of Nursing and the Massachusetts Department of Public Health. Learn more.
Alyssa is a seasoned public health nurse with over a decade of experience dedicated to improving health outcomes in diverse communities. She brings a wealth of experience in regional TB case management and has a passion for preventative care and health education. She works tirelessly to bridge gaps in healthcare access and reduce health disparities across populations.
Since 2018, Alyssa has worked as the Public Health Nurse Supervisor at Natick Walpole Visiting Nurses Association (VNA), where she led the implementation of COVID-19 response strategies across five communities, coordinated vaccine efforts and developed impactful community health programs.
Her career journey also includes roles in acute care nursing, where she provided high-quality care in psychiatric, geriatric, and pediatric settings. Notable contributions include crisis intervention and de-escalation, as well as managing health services in a school-based clinic, where she implemented wellness programs and supported students' mental health.
Throughout her career, Alyssa has proved to act as a strong advocate. Known for a collaborative approach, she is committed to working with colleagues to address public health challenges, promote education, and improve outcomes for the populations served. She brings a wealth of knowledge in public health nursing, along with a deep commitment to making a lasting impact on community health.
