Sarah Lefebvre

From zookeeper, veterinary assistant, laboratory assistant, and veterinarian, Professor Sarah Lefebvre, DVM, has a wealth of experience and knowledge to bring to the classroom.

"I have always loved science as well as animals. Veterinary medicine gives me the opportunity to do both. Veterinarians need well-qualified veterinary technicians and technologists in practice and I love being able to teach students science and medicine."

Lefebvre feels this is an exciting time for the field. "The concept of 'one health' which encompasses humans, animals and ecosystems continue to be a growing field in the treatment and care of both companion and food animals."

She was a speaker at the Massachusetts Veterinary Technician Association Conference in 2012 and 2014 and is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, Massachusetts Veterinary Medical Association, and the Association of Veterinary Technician Educators.

Professor Lefebvre teaches Mammalian Anatomy and Physiology, Clinical Methods, Animal Behavior, Veterinary Pharmacology, and Veterinary Forensics.
