The Sociology Linking Employment to Academic Development (LEAD) program gives you the opportunity to spend a semester interning at exciting locations in the Greater Boston Area and taking courses relevant to your interests.

 Intern in fields like social work, social research, criminology, and education and more! This program is open to all majors. 

 

Program Details:

  • 6+ Internship Credits, supervised by faculty member
  • 4 credits: SOCIOL 328: Intro to Social Work (no prerequisites)
  • Optional: Junior Year Writing general education requirement
  • 9+ credits of U+ courses, including many sociology relevant options (U+ access restrictions apply; must live on the Mount Ida Campus and be a full-time undergraduate student to be eligible)
