Students in the Environmental Education program in the Department of Environmental Conservation invite the UMass Amherst community to visit their “Insect Allies: Bring Back the Bugs” information tables at the Amherst Farmer’s Market on Saturday, May 11, from 8 a.m.-1:30 p.m. on the Amherst Common.

Graduate and undergraduates in NRC 520, under the direction of senior lecturer Britt Crow-Miller, will have a section with materials and fun activities to raise awareness of their mission “to inspire curiosity about and connection with bugs as a means toward community metamorphosis.”

“We are hoping that people will learn about the various ways that bugs support us and how we can support bugs,” said graduate student Cassidy Hemmecker.

More information about the farmer’s market can be found on the Amherst Farmer’s Market website
