Kelly has a passion for research and aspires to further her career in scientific research by working with plants. She believes that "plants are a very important and necessary part of everyone's lives and understanding them can give many insights into how to improve people's quality of life."

On campus, Kelly is currently working in Dr. Cheung's lab where she studies signaling strategies in plants that support growth and reproduction.

Kelly plans on continuing her efforts in research. After graduating she aims to work with plants and in understanding them help with food production processes. She hopes to be able to give back to her community!
