A summary of research, career development, and initiatives made possible by the Seedworks for Social Justice in Nursing Professorship.
Dr. Raeann G. LeBlanc, 2019-2023
From 2019 to 2023, Dr. Raeann G. LeBlanc, a distinguished scholar and practitioner, served as the Seedworks Endowed Associate Clinical Professor of Social Justice, contributing significantly to the scholarly discourse and practical applications of social justice within nursing. During their tenure, Dr. LeBlanc's work was instrumental in addressing health inequities, advocating for health justice, combating ageism, championing LGBTQ+ rights, and actively engaging in anti-racism activism within the nursing profession.
"It is important to understand the personal, interpersonal, strategic, and structural transformation this opportunity has inspired in more ways than these activities can account for on paper, including social connections with colleagues, students, and community, that will sustain this work in the future. These impacts are not mine alone; they are a result of this support of the Seedworks Endowment, and the many people and conditions that uplifted this work."
