In the spotlight
As a freshman, Ashley Eng enrolled in the pre-med track, and declared a microbiology major because of its relationship to infectious diseases and immunology. She applied to Dr. Kristen DeAngelis’s lab, enticed by the connections between their work and climate change and microbial ecology. After one semester, Eng was hooked.
