Green building is a rapidly emerging field that will remain an essential part of the changes needed to combat global warming. The minor in building and construction technology allows you to learn more about the field of sustainable design and construction of the built environment. 

Through this minor, you’ll complement your academic studies with five courses to build a foundation in different facets of the industry. These include materials, methods, and structures; building energy and systems; construction management; and information technology, among others.  

You’ll combine scientific and technical understanding with general business acumen, giving you skills employers seek. The building and construction technology minor is open to students from all disciplines, but it is especially complementary for you if you are majoring in engineering, business, or environmental science.
