Grant Proposal Assistance
The College of Natural Sciences provides a comprehensive college-wide support environment for its researchers to pursue external funding, complementing services at the campus level. The CNS research support environment includes Research Development (RD) for proposal assistance and building capacity for growth in research, and Research Support Services (RSS) for handling the submission of all proposals, renewals, and progress reports.
Research Development
CNS Research Development is available to help you attract significant funding support to propel your world-class research. RD staff work one-on-one with you to develop highly competitive grant proposals. In addition to directly assisting with grant proposals, we advance research in CNS by focusing on:
Securing Funding: Helping faculty members and teams plan, propose, and win competitive awards across the grant funding landscape, especially for large and complex projects.
Building Capacity: Providing current information, tools and resources, training, internal support, and opportunities for partnering, outreach, broadening research participation, and extended impacts.
RD areas of focus include:
-
Locating funding opportunities
-
Proposal development assistance

Emerging research initiatives
-
Facilitating external engagement and impact
