Public Health alumna gets hands on experience with AmeriCorps

Lauren Sheehan, Public Health ’12, has been working in Sullivan County, New Hampshire as a part of the AmeriCorps Victim Assistance Program. Sheehan’s experience in the AmeriCorps has involved working at Turning Points Network, a domestic violence agency in the state.

“I have learned first-hand how poverty, violence, and health are interrelated. At Turning Points Network, I also had the opportunity for free housing in their shelter, which was an incredible experience.”
