Student athletes Meiya Berkey '18 and Emma Roush '18 are featured in the Spring 2018 issue of UMass Magazine

Berkey, a Nutrition major and student boxer, is featured in a story titled "Why Do I Fight?" The "short read" article explores her motivation for stepping into the ring. "Boxing has made me more certain about my decisions and how I interact with other people," she says. "It puts everything in perspective. I’ve learned to apply the mental aspect of training to schoolwork and studying; I just sit down and get stuff done."

Diver Emma Roush appears in the "Sports Talk" section of the magazine. The Kinesiology major won her fourth-straight 1-meter-dive title at the A-10 Championships this past spring. She also was named Atlantic 10 Most Outstanding Diver at the championships for the third straight year.
