Anne Hewitt Honored with SPHHS Award

The School of Public Health and Health Sciences (SPHHS) is pleased to announce that Anne Hewitt, Instructor in the Online MPH in Public Health Practice program, has been named the recipient of the SPHHS Outstanding Online Teacher Award. The award, which is given annually by the School, recognizes excellence in online teaching.

Hewitt, who teaches an online course in Health Program Planning, was cited for her contributions to teaching in an online classroom environment. Her research interests are in the areas of clinical epidemiology, randomized trials, and cancer prevention.

Priscilla Dass-Brailsford, a student in the program, says Hewitt is an “excellent teacher - inspiring and motivating.” Dass-Brailsford adds, “It seemed like she never stopped working.”
