Overview

The University of Massachusetts at Amherst Master of Public Health in Public Health Practice program delivers a fully online‚ comprehensive‚ graduate level public health curriculum designed for health professionals. We offer online courses year-round to enable students to complete their degrees in 3 years or less, without interrupting their careers.

We are accredited by the Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH)‚ the official accrediting body for schools of public health in the United States and Canada. The School of Public Health and Health Sciences is located in Amherst‚ Massachusetts‚ the flagship campus of the University of Massachusetts system.

Program Goal

The goal of the MPH program in Public Health Practice is to improve the public's health by providing public health and other health care professionals with an accredited MPH degree through distance learning. We have designed the MPH program in Public Health Practice (PHP) to be accessible to full-time employees by offering year-round online classes.

The Public Health Practice curriculum provides a broad-based approach that covers all the public health competencies and disciplines:

Who Should Apply

Current public health or health care professionals with 3 years of full time work experience.

Bachelor’s degree with a minimum GPA of 2.75 out of 4.00.

No extensive online experience necessary. Our program provides you with all of the tools needed to make courses interesting, interactive and informative.
