Academics

The Department of Kinesiology offers programs of study leading to the Bachelor of Science, Master of Science, and Doctor of Philosophy degrees in Kinesiology. The degree programs in Kinesiology prepare a candidate to study and apply kinesiology from a multidisciplinary approach. Applications are in the biomedical, health, and fitness-related fields in public and private industries.

Programs of graduate study: biomechanics, exercise physiology, motor control. M.S. (thesis and research project options) and Ph.D. degree programs of study and research are planned on an individual basis between the student and the academic advisor. Courses are taken within the department and are complemented by courses in other fields, such as biochemistry, biology, computer science, engineering, epidemiology, neuroscience, and nutrition.
