Student Nutritionist Program
The Student Nutritionist Program, housed under the Department of Nutrition and in collaboration with the Department of Kinesiology, provides training, supervision, and opportunity for nutrition students to offer wellness-based counseling, nutrition education, and resources to the campus community. The program is overseen by Registered Dietitian Nutritionist and Educator, Elizabeth Devine.
The Student Nutritionist Program is excited to partner with The Body Shop to offer credible nutrition information and services to our campus community. Trained Student Nutritionists are available to provide free one-on-one nutrition counseling in The Body Shop, located in Totman, throughout the academic year. Any member of the campus community who is interested in meeting with a Student Nutritionist may sign up via the online sign-up sheet, or stop by The Body Shop for more information. Student Nutritionists can help with a variety of wellness-based topics from general healthy eating and eating both on and off campus, to proper fueling for exercise, intuitive eating, health promotion and disease prevention, meal and snack planning, and hydration recommendations and tips. They are happy to answer your nutrition questions, offer dietary evaluation and recommendations, share evidence-based information, offer practical tips to help with behavior change and integration of nutrition practices into your daily life, and support you wherever you are on your nutrition journey.
Program questions and inquiries about collaborations may be directed to studentnutritionists [at] umass [dot] edu (studentnutritionists[at]umass[dot]edu).

Nutrition is like a pure and natural medicine to me. I believe that food dictates our health and wellbeing in so many ways that we are still researching! Outside of nutrition counseling, I enjoy shopping, being active, and spending time with those close to me.
Special Interests: Sports nutrition, intuitive eating, but generally speaking, I enjoy helping all individuals be the best version of themselves possible through food!
Sarah Burke (she/her)
I love the subject of food and nutrition because I believe it is universally relatable! No matter where you’re from, how old you are, or what you do for a living... we all need food and it’s something that can bring people together. I also find it fascinating how different everyone’s nutrition needs are. My interests outside of nutrition include listening to Taylor Swift, traveling to new places, and hanging out with friends.
Special Interests: Eating disorders, women’s health, and nutrition education (I would love to teach someday!).
Cole Hebb (he/him)
I believe in the utilization of nutrition for the prevention of disease and as a method to obtain optimal results when striving for athletic achievement. I have a vested interest in music, cooking and sports.
Special Interests: Sports nutrition would certainly be my area of major interest, but any nutrition-related topics are intriguing to me.
Emilia Longey (she/her)
I believe in using the skills and knowledge I have gained through my schooling and experience to help those around me with their nutritional problems. I hope to use my nutrition knowledge to help others feel confident with what they eat and how they feel. Outside of my school life I love to cook and bake, creating new recipes and sharing them with those I love. I love the fall season because of the food, crisp weather, hikes, and movie marathons of Harry Potter and Twilight.
Special Interests: Gastrointestinal issues relating to nutrition and food allergies
Josie Rossbach (she/her)

I hope to use the knowledge I have gained from my experience at UMass to help others learn how to fuel their bodies to the best of their ability! Outside of nutrition, I love being active and spending time with close friends and family.
Special Interests: Sports nutrition and women’s health, but I would love to talk about anything!

William Ardon (He/Him)
No matter where you come from or who you are, nutritional information should be available to you. With so many misleading sources of nutrition information, I believe we have a responsibility to spread as much credible information as possible. My hobbies outside of nutrition include boxing, soccer, trail walking, and cooking with my family.
Special Interests: Post-Surgical clinical nutrition, community nutrition education, and public health.
Peyton Dutka (she/her)
I believe that good nutrition optimizes our ability to prevent disease, move our bodies in ways that fulfill us, and feel happy and healthy day after day. I have experienced firsthand what a tremendous impact nutrition has on quality of life, and I strive to help others reap those same benefits. Outside of nutrition, I love to run, play with animals, travel, and experiment with foods of all different cultures.
Special Interests: Women’s health and general healthy eating are my two main topics of interest, but I am always open to discussing nutrition topics of any kind!
Hailey Ficarrotta (she/her)
The topic of nutrition plays a vital role in our overall wellness, and is deserving of more recognition as a component of our daily lives. Food is at the center of our health, as well as our dinner conversations! Outside of nutrition, I love to listen to music, shop/venture into thrift stores, spend time with family, and watch good movies or shows with my friends.
Special Interests: intuitive eating, general healthy eating, sports nutrition, and clinical nutrition related to autoimmune and diabetes!
Katelyn Greene (she/her)
As nutrition majors, one of the first things we learn is that the general key to adequate nutrition and eating habits is variety and moderation. I strongly believe that this is the case and I want to give others the opportunity to see that too! I also strive to help debunk the misinformation about nutrition portrayed in the media and love hearing about other’s perspectives; asking and answering questions together! Outside of nutrition I enjoy spending time with my dogs, watching sitcoms (Friends and New Girl are my top choices at the moment), and finding new recipes to make and try!
Special Interests: medical/clinical nutrition, general healthy eating, intuitive eating, and any other questions/topics that come up!
Jenna Linehan (she/her)
Nutrition is one of the most important and most misunderstood concepts that is vital to our wellbeing. My goal is to encourage healthy eating and lifestyle habits that support not only our physical health, but also our emotional health – because if you don’t enjoy what you eat, what’s the point? Outside of nutrition I love to cook, exercise, go on walks with my dog, watch nostalgic tv shows, and spend time with family and friends.
Special Interests: General healthy eating, plant-based, intuitive eating, etc.
Julie Milunsky (she/her)
As a future dietitian, I hope to help people feel comfortable and confident nourishing their bodies. Nourishing ourselves can be complicated by social and medical circumstances, but we can work together to find foods that fit within your dietary restrictions and preferences. Outside of nutrition counseling, I love to read, cook/create recipes, play with my dog, and hang out with friends.
Special Interests: Medical nutrition therapy/chronic conditions, food allergies, eating disorders, Cystic Fibrosis, NICU
Caroline Moran (she/her)
My goal as a future dietitian is to promote balance and nourishment for an energized, happy life. I believe that food can and should provide satisfaction and joy—not just fuel. Outside of nutrition, I spend most of my time on nature trails, cooking/baking, reading, and spending time with friends.
Special Interests: General healthy eating, women’s health, and intuitive eating are my main topics of interest, but I am open to talking about anything!
Breezy Moulthrop (she/her)
Nutrition, whether someone is consciously thinking about it or not, is a part of their every day! Therefore, everybody deserves to enjoy nourishing their bodies with the food that feels right for them! When I'm not in the nutrition office, I love swimming in the ocean, going for walks and runs, and spending time with friends.
Special Interests: intuitive eating & sports nutrition
Sarhaina Oscar (she/her)
Everyone is hyper-aware of how interlaced food and health are but don’t always have access to reputable sources. I want to help individuals expand their knowledge of nutrition because I have witnessed how proper nutrition can restore health in those around me. Outside of nutrition, I enjoy reading, learning new recipes, and creating memories with loved ones.
Special Interests: general healthy eating, women’s health, community nutrition, pediatric nutrition
Bri Tse (she/her)
From fueling our bodies, to bringing people together, to just bringing us pure joy, food plays a huge role in both our physical and mental health. I believe nutrition is a critical component in our overall wellbeing; I hope to help guide others through nutritional misinformation and provide the tools and knowledge for living a healthy and happy life. Outside of nutrition, you can find me either lifting at the gym, spending time with my friends, or trying a new recipe.
Special interests: Sports nutrition, plant-based nutrition, and general healthy eating.
