Alina Parker


Alina Parker is a Doctoral Candidate in Communication at UMass Amherst, currently completing her interdisciplinary dissertation on history and politics in Russia after the Crimean annexation. Her research interests include discourse analysis, performance studies, postsocialism, and Russian politics. She has taught a variety of courses in English, Communication, American Studies, and Russian Studies at UMass Amherst, Smith College, the University of Tampa, and the Russian State University for the Humanities in Moscow, Russia. She currently teaches College Writing, our first-year writing course, and Practicum for instructors.
