Poems

Roses nestled on my pillow

              Your scents mingle

The mist clinging to their petals

As my lips to your shoulder

What fine arching branches

              You have

What endless peals

              You open

Together we dance

              Like flowers for the light

                             Heads nodding in breezy air

And if we imagine

              We might feel our roots

                             Again,

                                           Entwined,

                                                          With roses
