I live like a river today

Flowing with the now

Touching all things in passing

Reflecting light, holding life

Moving earth, and raising sky

My past like small brooklets

Having built me to this time

Adding to my surge of life

All the substance I carry

Gathered from past shores

The old id loosed from my grip

As I accept and carry the new

The future, oceans and seas, lies waiting for me

As I touch- hold- carry life forward

In gentle waves, and in turbulence

Just for today, I balance in this fluid life

Carry in suspicion my treasures of gold dust and muddy debris

Unaware of the falls and rapids ahead

Or the still deeper waters that await me

On this soul journey
