Building Bridges

Writing about Class: A Community Writing Workshop

In this writing workshop, we will explore our experiences with class, status, and identity as they operate in our working and personal lives. We will write from the Building Bridges premise that workers are whole people—artists, musicians, poets, fly-fishers, mothers, fathers, caretakers—and reflect upon how the demands of work can make us feel less than whole. We will also consider how coming together across difference creates new possibilities for building community, friendship, and support. As we write our own stories, we will also read & discuss the stories of others at the intersections of work, class, status, and identity.
Format: In-person
