New Name and a New Website: The Partnership for Worker Education

A New Name

After 32 years, we changed our name from Labor/Management Workplace Education to The Partnership for Worker Education.  As with all of our work, we shared the idea with many of our partners; we received only positive feedback.  As we enter our fourth decade, our new name better communicates our directions and priorities: partnerships and workers.

A New Website

We are also launching a brand new website! The Partnership for Worker Education website serves as a way to learn about our work and engage the campus community and beyond.

There is a dedicated section on Worker Voice and Visibility that includes writing, images, videos and audio all created by workers here at UMass.

It is easy to review our classes and there is a special “Register for Classes” button right at the top.

We have a section where you can learn about our different Career Ladder projects, on and off campus.

You can sign up to volunteer, learn about recent news, request our services, connect with us on social media, read about our history, explore different projects, and so much more!

And while you are checking out the website, be sure to also watch our new program video that highlights several of our partners and a few projects that are currently underway.

Let us know what you think and we look forward to seeing you soon!
