Community Works Gearing Up for 2020: WWLP Broadcast

Recently, WWLP broadcast a story our our pre-apprenticeship project, Community Works.  Community Works is helping to prepare greater Springfield/Holyoke residents - particularly women, people of color, and veterans - for the building and highway construction trades.  Community Works is accepting applications now for our next six-week training cycle, scheduled for early 2020.  Questions concerning Community Works may be directed to project director Jeff Napolitano, 413 545-1472.  Here is his email. You can also go to the Community Works web site.  Community Works is a many agency partnership involving industry contractors, industry labor unions, joint apprenticeship programs, the Hampden County workforce investment board, MassHire Holyoke, MassHire Springfield, among many other agencies.  Community works is funded by the Massachusetts Department of Transportation and the University of Massachusetts.  Here is a link to the WWLP broadcast.
