In order to complete your assessment for Community Works, how to best support you during training, and answer any questions you have, the Project Director will set up a meeting with you at the University of Massachusetts Amherst.

When you meet with the Project Director, you'll be asked to have a copy of your drivers license and diploma/GED/HiSET (even a picture from your phone will do!)

Note: We do not need your license ID number (we will redact this if received.)

The construction industry requires drug testing, so Community Works also requires testing to join the program. Where, how, and when to take the test will be covered in the meeting with the Project Director.

The final step for the application to Community Works is a half hour meeting with a panel of tradespeople, including our lead instructor and some Community Works graduates. This is a brief (half hour, max) meeting where you can ask our graduates who are in the industry how they did it, what to expect from the program, and anything else that would help you understand the program.
