In Their Words

“I just love the Writing Project because I can get all of these ideas that I can bring into my classroom the next day. Even just being part of the Summer Institute, I’ve already used so many things from the summer in my classroom. It’s made such a huge difference. I don’t know, I just love the Writing Project.”

- Anthony Marando, Best Practices 2018

“[WMWP is] my professional home, which, as a teacher, is the place I always go to for resources, for ideas, for encouragement. And I really think it is a big part of why I’ve stayed in teaching; this is my twenty fourth year.”

- Alicia Lopez, Pat Hunter Award 2018

“I have never felt alone with the Western Mass. Writing Project. I love the fact that at the Western Mass. Writing Project we work together as teachers, as writers, as learners, and, because of that, it made me better.”

- Karen Diaz, Pat Hunter Award 2019
