You must contact Environmental Health and Safety before dropping off any hazardous materials. EH&S will conduct a hazardous material review. EH&S will provide you with documentation that you must carry with you when you deliver potentially hazardous material or equipment to the Waste Facility.
Please contact Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) at 545-2682 if you have any items which you suspect may contain:
- Asbestos: construction or demolition wastes of any kind must be accompanied by an Asbestos Containing Material review
- Mercury or mercury containing instruments
- PCBs (oils and ballasts)
Please read the Environmental Health & Safety's Hazardous Chemical Waste Guide for instructions on hazardous waste disposal.
