Research Interests

Jillianne Smith a horse trainer who has worked with many well-known trainers on the east coast. She has studied and practiced a variety of different training methods but currently focuses on Equine Behavior and Learning Theory and the Principles of Training Theory. Incorporating Learning Theory into her equine training has enabled her to get better results and have a better understanding of how to successfully communicate with horses. Her goal is to improve the horse human relationship and equine welfare in the industry through the use of scientific knowledge in Learning Theory. She is currently working towards her MSc degree in Equine Science with a focus on Equine Behavior.
