On Saturday, March 1st , the UMass Student Affiliate chapter of the American Dairy Science Association (NESA Animal Science Club) took part in the annual Northeast regional meeting and competition. This year’s NESA meeting was hosted by Penn State University.
This year's competing institutions included: Delaware Valley University, Rutgers University, University of Connecticut, University of Delaware, University of Maine, University of Maryland, University of Massachusetts-Amherst, University of New Hampshire, and West Virginia University.

Megan Powell (UMass Team A) took 1st place in the Original Research presentation category for her work in the Tremblay Lab at UMass. Her presentation was titled: Investigating the role of Got2 in murine organogenesis through the use of a conditional knockout.
