Bay State Livestock Classic scheduled for April 25 has been canceled

The Bay State Livestock Classic scheduled for April 25 has been canceled due to a localized outbreak of Orf at the farm. Orf is a common and generally mild condition in sheep and goats that typically resolves on its own with time and basic care. While the condition is not considered serious, we are taking this step out of an abundance of caution.

Canceling this year’s event will allow our animals to heal fully with minimal disruption and helps ensure the health and well-being of both livestock and visitors. We appreciate the understanding of our students, partners, and the public, and we look forward to welcoming everyone back for next year’s event.
