Two VASCI Juniors will participate in summer fellowships with the Environmental Health Sciences

Two VASCI Juniors, Jessica Price and Maeve Smith have received paid summer fellowships from the Environmental Health Sciences Summer Research Program funded by the National Institute of Health.

Maeve and Jessica have been working in the Arcaro lab for the last year.  Jessica and Mauve initially worked with Dr. Arcaro on the canine tumor research and most recently on the New Moms Wellness randomized clinical trial.

Maeve and Jessica will be working on a joint project with Dr. Arcaro and Professor Youssef Oulhote in the Public Health Department to investigate the immune response to COVID-19 and vaccination in people with high levels of the group environmental pollutants known as PFAS (Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances).
