Launched in 2018, the Building Bridges Public Art and Engagement Initiative has four core projects, including art installations and four courses: Our Immigrant voices; Showcasing Worker Artists at UMass; Worker Rights as Human Rights, and Y/OUR Story: A Community Writing Workshop. The Showcase includes Random Acts of Kindness Through Art, a project based on the premise that giving the community something beautiful, handmade and meaningfully crafted brings joy to both the artist and recipient.
