Haley Kersley

Haley is a junior undergraduate student at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. As a Commonwealth Honors College student, Haley is studying Pre-Veterinary Science in the College of Natural Sciences and she aspires to become a small animal veterinarian. Haley joined Dr. Visconti's lab because she has a strong interest in mammalian reproduction and molecular biology. In the lab, Haley works with genotyping as well as analyzing sperm morphology and histology to gain a deeper understanding of the sperm capacitation process. Haley hopes to further this knowledge in veterinary school. She was accepted into the Tufts Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine through their Early Acceptance Program and will attend veterinary school there after she graduates from UMass Amherst. Haley plays lacrosse on the UMass Women's Club Lacrosse team and enjoys spending time with her dogs as well as the goats at the UMass Hadley Farm.
