Angela Essa is working toward a degree in Biology with a minor in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (Class of 2017). Angela is interested in the molecular basis of disease, and is currently working on a study to assess the effects of a 12-week dietary intervention on inflammation and methylation markers in the breast. After UMass, Angela hopes to earn a combined MD/PhD. In her spare time, Angela enjoys drinking coffee, going for hikes, or doing other outdoor activities!
