Kyle Gellatly is a Master's degree student in the Molecular and Cellular Biology program. He works on a variety of projects related to pesticide resistance mechanisms both in Drosophila melanogaster and Pediculus humanis capitis. His main focus is to determine the interrelationship between target-site-insensitivity, cuticular penetration, detoxification through cytochrome P-450s, and elimination through ABC-Transporters and Glutathione S-transferases in overall levels of resistance.
