As of July 2014, Kay holds a Toxicology Study Manager position with Biogen Idec (http://www.biogenidec.com), a global biotechnology company focused on developing new therapies designed to improve the lives of patients with neurological, autoimmune and hematological disorders.
Kay's past and present scientific focus is in preclinical research. Having worked for over 10 years in a contract research organization (CRO) environment, she possesses a broad knowledge and expertise in toxicology, pharmacology (pharmacokinetics/ pharmacodynamics), medical devices, bioanalysis, formulation and immunobiology. With the guidance of Dr. Ana Maria Salicioni, her experience now includes cellular and molecular biology techniques and a MS in Animal Biotechnology and Biomedical Sciences. She now would like to combine her past experience with her most current knowledge and experience in order to advance her career.
