Max Lechner

Max graduated from UMass with his B.S. in Pre-Veterinary Science in spring 2025. During his undergraduate career, Max gained hands-on experience with animals while working at a small animal veterinary practice. During his senior year, he joined the Alfandari Lab where he gained experience in many research techniques. 

Now, Max is working towards achieving his M.S. in Animal Biotechnology and Biomedical Sciences. As part of his masters degree studies, he will be learning about the monoclonal antibody production pipeline, while working closely with Xenopus laevis as a model organism. Currently, the research he is a part of aims to expand the monoclonal antibody library to support future biomedical studies.
