Madeleine Mosteiro

Undergraduate Research Assistant in the Arcaro Lab

Madeleine Mosteiro (’26) is a Pre-Veterinary Science student and a member of the Commonwealth Honors College. She has been a member of the Arcaro Lab for 3 years throughout which she has worked on both the New Moms Wellness Study and her independent Honors Thesis research. Specifically, her project this year focuses on assessing breast milk of both BRCA carriers and wild-type individuals for biomarkers of breast cancer risk. Madeleine is very passionate about science and has found special interest in the microbiology field along with animal science. After graduation this spring (’26), she will begin veterinary school. In her free time, Madeleine loves to hike, read, spend time with her animals, and take care of her plants.
