Madeleine Mosteiro

Undergraduate Research Assistant in the Arcaro Lab

Madeleine Mosteiro is a third-year pre-veterinary science student and is a member of the Commonwealth Honors College. She has been a member of the Arcaro Lab for 2 years throughout which she has worked on the New Moms Wellness Study. Specifically, her project this year focuses on how fruit and vegetable intake effects inflammation post-partum as a biomarker for breast cancer risk. Madeleine is very passionate about science and has found special interest in the microbiology field along with her major of animal science. She shares this through a teaching assistant position for a microbiology class and as a peer mentor for the Animal Science Club. In her free time, Madeleine loves to hike, read, spend time with her animals, and take care of her plants.
