Linh Pham

Linh earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biotechnology at International University in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. She completed her undergraduate thesis investigating the effect of a specific hormone (androgen) on the in vitro growth and maturation of mammalian oocyte (swine model). In 2018, Linh graduated a with Master of Science degree in Biotechnology from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. While studying for her master's degree, Linh participated in an internship in a biochemistry and molecular cell lab where she assisted with a Dyskeratosis Congenita (a bone marrow failure syndrome) project. This particular project utilizes Dyskeratosis patients cells to understand how shortened telomeres activate a pathway that leads to elevated reactive oxygen species. Most recently, Linh worked in a nephrology lab where the research focused on artenovenous fistula (AVF) and vascular remodeling for chronic kidney disease with the goal of finding a cure for AVF failure patients. Linh's long term research interest is in immunotherapy for treating certain types of cancer or stem cell and embryonic development for biomedical application.
