Laurel Buckley

Undergraduate Research Assistant in the Arcaro Lab

Laurel is a Junior at UMass Amherst from Barnstable, Massachusetts pursuing a degree in Pre-Veterinary Science and is a member of the Commonwealth Honors College. She is a part of the Pre-Veterinary and Animal Science Club and plans to attend veterinary school following graduation. She joined the Arcaro Lab in Fall of 2023 and is currently involved in the Breastfeeding CHAMPS Study.

Laurel has experience working in a small animal veterinary clinic and hopes to be able to volunteer her time post-veterinary school with Trap-Neuter-Release (TNR) programs that desperately need surgeons. She enjoys reading, spending time with family and longboarding on the bike paths near campus in her free time.
