Grace (Jingyan) Liu completed her master's research at Beijing Institute for Cancer Research, where she focused on cancer mechanisms and targeted therapeutic strategies, gaining strong experience in molecular and cancer biology. In addition, she completed clinical resident training in the Peking University Shenzhen Hospital.

Grace joined the Arcaro lab in the fall of 2025. She investigates DNA methylation of breast cancer-associated genes, with a particular emphasis on how epigenetic regulation of high-risk genes contributes to breast cancer initiation and progression. Her work aims to elucidate aberrant DNA methylation patterns that drive gene dysregulation, providing insights into breast cancer risk, early detection, and potential therapeutic strategies.

Outside the lab, Grace enjoys painting, calligraphy, and playing musical instruments.
