Colt Foster

Born and raised in south Florida, Colt attended Florida Gulf Coast University. After graduating in 2020 with a BS in Biology, he joined the Navy and completed Nuclear Power School as an Electronics Technician.

In 2024, Colt began his graduate education here at UMass Amherst in the Cui Lab where Colt studies female germ lines and embryo development, working with mouse models. Other research interests include using biotechnologies as a tool for wildlife conservation. He hopes to run his own lab one day to pursue these interests.

When he is not working, Colt enjoys reading, cooking, watching movies, and taking care of his rock iguana, Barbossa.
