The Department of Veterinary and Animal Sciences Flow Cytometer (FACS) Facility is equipped with four flow cytometers. A Becton Dickinson LSRII with two fixed alignment lasers (488nm, and 622nm) is available for trained users for 8 parameter analysis. A BD Dual Fortessa is also available for trained users, one side equiped with 3-lasers, 15 parameter analysis, and a High Throughput sampler and the other side equipped with 5 lasers capable of 18 parameter analysis. In addition, the Facility is capable of 16 parameter analysis and sorting with the 5 laser, fixed alignment, FACSAria II. The FACS Facility is located in the Integrated Sciences Building (Room 068) at UMass Amherst. It is maintained by the Veterinary and Animal Sciences Faculty, but is sponsored by faculty across multiple disciplines. The facility is open to academic as well as non-academic members of the Five College area and surrounding areas. For questions about our FACS Facility, please contact Amy S. Burnside,
