We offer a variety of ways for you to save money and earn the credit you need to cross the finish line.

generous transfer credit policy

UMass Amherst allows up to 75 transfer credits. One of the key roles of your UWW advisor will be to help ensure that you receive the maximum number of credits possible for your previous college courses, professional and military trainings, and credit exams and evaluations. Whenever possible, your credits will be used to fulfill university general education requirements so that you don't need to re-take courses you've already taken elsewhere. credit for prior coursework, prior learning, and work & life experience

At UWW you can bring in or earn up to 105 credits for previous coursework, professional trainings and certifications, credit evaluations and exams such as CLEP, and by writing a series of essays (portfolio) about your experience. accelerated course options

In addition to our standard 14 week fall and spring semester course offerings, UMass Amherst offers two 6 week accelerated summer sessions and one 3 week uber accelerated winter session allowing you to back in the courses you need to help you finish when you need to finish.
