UMass Amherst Scholarships

As part of our commitment to access in higher education, UMass Amherst awards hundreds of scholarships each year, and the UWW Department of Interdisciplinary Studies awards thousands of dollars in need-based scholarships each semester. Explore what opportunities are available and apply.

UMass Amherst Microgrants

If you are experiencing an unexpected financial emergency such as a loss of income or increase in expenses, resources may be available to you through the Dean of Students Office. We encourage students in this situation to apply for a microgrant of up to $500.

If you'd like to let us know that you applied and what the response was so we can get a better idea of how many UWW Interdisciplinary Studies students are benefitting, please email us at @email (optional and confidential).

Early Childhood Educators Scholarship Program

You may be eligible for the Early Childhood Educators Scholarship Program if you live in Massachusetts and work as an educator or provider in an early education and care program or out of school time program that is licensed or authorized by the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care (EEC). The UWW Department of Interdisciplinary Studies has one of the highest number of recipients of this scholarship in the state.
