Community College Transfers

For fifty years, UWW has supported community college students and graduates like you in advancing their education and careers.

Mass Transfer Gen Ed Foundation

UWW honors the Mass Transfer Gen Ed Foundation, a set of 34 credits you can take at any Massachusetts community college that will satisfy all but two of your general education (GenEd) requirements. You’ll fulfill those last two GenEds after you enroll.

Other Mass Transfer benefits are not available through UWW, including 'tuition credit' (formerly called a waiver), end of the semester rebates, a freeze tuition and fees upon entry, or guaranteed admission. A resume and short-answer questions are required for admission to many programs.

Application Fee Waiver

The application fee is waived if you are a Massachusetts Community College graduate (or current student in your last semester) - excludes Accelerated Bachelor in Nursing applicants.

Generous transfer credit policy

UMass Amherst has a generous policy, allowing up to 75 transfer credits from:

Credit for Experience
