Audit a Class
You may audit a course and have that audit recorded on your official transcript (as a zero in the Units Earned column and in the grade column as "AUD") provided that:
- The instructor can accommodate you in a class, and that you satisfy the instructor regarding his/her preparation and motivation for auditing the class.
- You pay all fees associated with the course.
- You satisfy all criteria for a successful audit as stipulated in advance by the instructor. In the event that the instructor reports that an audit was not completed successfully, the course will be expunged from your record.
- You enroll in and elect the class as an audit within the add/drop period by emailing our Registration Office at @email. Include your name, SPIRE ID, term, course subject and number, and 5-digit class number.
NOTE: You may not switch from audit to credit after the end of the add/drop period. The reverse is also true.
See Academic Regulations for more information.
