Advanced Sports Marketing, Sales & Media

Explore the fast and dynamic world of sports marketing, sales and media, learning from full time faculty of the nation’s top-ranked McCormack Department of Sport Management, housed in the Isenberg School of Management.

How do NFL teams manage Super Bowl marketing campaigns? Why did the National Women’s Soccer League negotiate a media rights deal with Twitch? How did the newest NHL team, the Seattle Kraken, launch its brand identity? Students will become immersed in timely, critical issues impacting the professional sport management industry, and learn the theory, strategy and tactical approach behind how teams, leagues, media organizations and fans exist together within the unique environment of sport fandom.

Students will also speak with McCormack Department alumni, current managers working in the commercial sport industry, as we analyze how organizations build and execute best-in-class marketing, sales and media campaigns. At the end of the week, students will present their analysis and create project materials to take with them into college application and admissions interviews, building confidence in an area of passion and preparing for college life.

This course is open to students who have completed the Sport Management & Leadership Academy, either this summer or in previous sessions.
